Job Description
Reports To: Sales Manager
Role purpose
Under the supervision of the Sales Manager (Hitachi), the Sales Executive is responsible for all sales activities in assigned accounts and regions, and manage quality and consistency of product and service delivery for SMT Ghana Customers, and meeting the sales targets set for the department by the Company.
Objectives
SMART objectives are defined annually and can be found in the Evaluation form
Responsibilities
Advises customers in selecting/ordering adequate Hitachi machines by asking relevant questions and listening carefully to their response in order to identify their needs
Meets or Exceeds objectives for new-machine deliveries established by the dealership;
Promotes and sells Company’s Hitachi machines adhering to company procedures, standards, targets and, margins;
Discusses sales orders, secure deposits and processes paperwork in accordance with established dealership policies;
Delivers new machines, explaining new-machine warranty and service policies;
Studies machine specifications to improve knowledge of product performance and application continually;
Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity;
Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contacts;
Manage account services through quality checks and other followup;
Identify and resolve client concerns
Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff;
Develop and maintain special sales activities to reduce stock
Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events
Follow-up for collection of payment
Makes phone calls and sends emails, arranges appointments
Represents the Company in a professional manner
Compiles price sheet and quotes, closes sales
Reports on lost sales
Reports on competition
Maintains and develops good quality relationships with new and existing customers
Provide on-the-job training to new sales employees;
Other duties as assigned
Required Skills or Experience
Higher education in commercial field (Sales or Marketing)
Higher education in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering is a plus Minimum Five(5) years’ experience in sales, preferably within the automotive sector
