Job Purpose

Lead IT officers & Social Media Personnel to provide IT systems support for all the Accra Channels with little or no downtime and to effectively manage the team.

Duties and responsibilities

• Supports the operations of CMG’s Wide Area Network (WAN) and Local Area Network (LAN), to include network performance, security, software and hardware performance, system trouble shooting and administrative functions to maintain system availability to CMG staff.
• Install and configure Windows Operating systems and software.
• Conduct routine evaluation of network and data security to meet operational standards.
• Operate collaborative platforms, including Microsoft teams, zoom, skpe etc. when necessary.
• Provide IT support for all staff
• Conducts user training programs for staff.
• Develop and implement IT policy and best practise guides for the organisation.
• Perform information system Audit, Digital and Social Media Marketing.
• Cordinate all the activities of the Social Media Personnel in all the Channels.
• Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals.
• Oversee social media accounts design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures, blog layout etc.)
• Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos,news etc.)
• Collaborate with other teams (Sales & Marketing) to ensure brand consistency.
• Handle the organisations’ social media presence ensuring high levels of web traffic and customer engagement.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems is required. Required to be a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.

Experience

• Two years exposure in the broadcasting industry.
• Be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies, social media trends, design tools and applications.

Working conditions

Work involves in-door and outdoor activities. Employee may work in shift, weekends, holidays and for long hours from time to time.

Physical requirements

Employee must be physically fit for this task. It may involve lifting heavy objects.
